Where's the results for the Vareo's? They seem to have dried up after day one. |

Vareo nationals for me had it all under control well thats what i thought till a broken main haylard in the first race on the last day so dsq for that one then second race got the wrong side of a big wind shift buried is the best way to describe it 25 ish came back through the fleet to seventh on two boat lenghts behind 5th and 6 th,last race went ok lying in third with a good gap went for the guy in second chased him all the way only to be passed at the last bouy by the guy who was in fourth who had a big gust all the way down. So second it was by two points still quite pleased as it was very shifty and light sometimes |

I waited up. Wandered lonely as a cloud. Wondering would she show? Old woman? I should show you old women. Check this out. (Well done anyway, at least you went, I should have gone to the nationals didn't and now regret it. Edited by G.R.F. |

I went to the Dutch Contender Nationals and had a great time. Nine long races in three days so I'm shattered (plus two midnight ferry trips) but I managed 13th out of 18, which isn't bad for an old woman like me.

I had one of those bonus sails, where I wasn't expecting to sail but did and had a great time. I have wide wings on the boat now but no corrector weight (3kg) so I was going to stay at home, but the wind was more than forecast so I went up, with the intention of racing but retiring as I was technically out of class. As it happens, no-one cared about the weight so my results stood! Just on the subject of the corrector, that has to be the least satisfying boat purchase ever, even worse than paying for insurance! I bought a second hand weight but even so after buying the weight, fitting kit and paying postage I've spent over £40 just to go slower.... |

Brilliant weekend at Kielder Open, sunshine and force 3 - very pleasant and better than forecast. What a tonic after a not so good couple of months!
