Seen it sailing - GOOOD GOD its fast!! I used to sail an A class yrs ago - and to see the F20's hammering it down the solent, then this just thundering up from behind and belting past makes me want to get back into cats!! Its a gorgeous beast! & take my hat off to the guys.

But think ill stay skiff for the time being

Yes it uses lines, which you can see roughly in this picture

There is a line on each hull, each are secured at the bow, run through a
block on the tack and back to a block on the bow and are lead back. So as
the kite comes out of the chute tension can be put onto the ropes to hold
the tack central. More detail of the chute and bow block system in these
photographs.

what is the tack of the kite attached to? There appears to be no pole, with lines running to each bow?

want one !

anyone weighing in at 75Kgs and with spare £20 K wanting to crew

Good Luck to the Tek Kat team it is an exciting project and I hope it gets off the ground when into production .

Hope they consider some wings on its rudders , with an 11m mast they  may come in handy at next Loch Ness .
