Contender443 might come and visit, yes, but he's very proud to have a fleet of (almost) 6 Contenders this year in Lancing! Equipped with his new boat, he's planning to wipe the floor with them all !!!!!     (and get a little closer to Contender453, who seems to have an engine fitted to his boat at times  )

I think there are only 2 at HISC. BTW I saw an obituary for Freddie Gale in the club yesterday. I believe he was very involved in bringing the class to this country, tho' I new him from windsurfing.

Yes there is an obituary on the BCA website homepage. He was Mr Contender, he was at the Nationals dinner last year and gave a very interesting speech.

It seems the success of the Contender was very much down to his enthusiasm for the class. All classes should have a Freddy Gale.

Oh poor guy.
Omg how much did i miss being away from here for just one day, about 3 pages back BNS you asked me botu my schooling etc, I got to school in Essex, an international school called Anglo European. My parents didnt relay influence my choice other than sending me to this school in year 7, it was the fact that the school did the IB that I chose it.

its very good but soooooo much work... was that all you asked I forgot while reading the other pages of posts.

Thank you for yor reply, KnightMare. Essex would push the school run a little bit too far out  

However, I'm going to try and see if there are other schools in our local area that offer the same facilities.

lol, yeah takes me an hour to get to school.

where do you live? and good luck with finding one.

Ps the easter hols this year are realy annoying as my school has changes all of its dates by one week and so all the dates for sailing events had to be changed........ grrrrrrrrrr
