Car was parked. I (Or my kids or wife) were not with me so could not have been on it.
Tree fell over, crossed road, hit my car and was also lying over the pavement.
Traffic stopped in Welwyn Garden City for a while....

It looks like the tree wasn't holding a safe following distance and didn't stop in time ... I'd say its the trees fault indeed!
