, sailed again today , you need traveller because to have good trim you have in mainsheet about  30 kg time 4 so 120 kg in middle of boom....probably 360 kg where vang is, no chance with agricultural gnav, need rudderstock like d  one because need rudder is really fixed when you go 16 knots plus,with gennaker, need retractable pole, need high wings or they hit water and a lot of drag, try sailing d one , cheap ryan flight to bergamo , cheap pick up cab to torbole and magical sailing, and than you will understand me ciao aldo info@hotelsantoni.com can get you cheap rooms

The key to pimping on forums boys, is to serve your time first, become
part of the regular community, show your one of them(us) all you're doing
is further alienating yourselves and your product from what could contain
certain elements that would benefit from such a craft.

I'm sure there's a place for it on Big London reservoirs and none coastal
venues.

Right now your talking yourselves into Mission Impossible.

Your task , should you choose to accept it, is to organise a London Demo
Event on say Datchet or Q.M.

Get some objective assessments..

And also understand the Brit humour better.

G.R.F. why are you still wasting time on a thread about a product you dislike?

Are you paid by someone on a number of insults basis?

The demo days are there you have only to call and you should really learn better the Italian concrecy(I bought the boat, you not even the D-One or the other thing).

Erm... Did you not notice the F18 at the london boat show pursuit race???
That is one TINY peice that is tough for the tiniest of boats to sail on.
The F18 managed a far tougher feat on that day.

One question on the D- one. There is still a lot of boat behind the hiking
beams. Surely there is going to be a time when you want to be that far back
but cant?? Would it not be better for the beams to extend further back so
you can hike right off the back of the boat?

Funny that you should mention that!  We were, in fact, working on the demo/test days diary for the D-One yesterday and Queen Mary and Datchet were on the list.  I was a member of Datchet until I moved further south so just for that reason I would prefer to go there; however, we have had a lot of interest from QM members in the D-One so that could be the final choice.

 

We will publish a list of dates and venues once all of the arrangements are finalised both on our website and also on this forum for those who are interested.

Well when you do, let me know, I'm happy to have a go in that sort of venue,
just because it doesn't suit me, my weight, my sailing venue doesn't mean
lots of other folk won't like it.

Then I'll shut up and stop annoying the Eyties..

I take it it does come with one forward and ten reverse gears.

There will be carbon fiber "extenders" attached to the wings that will allow to hike further toward the beam and shaped in way that you can't fell off from those. Off course this could be accomplished making the wings longer but in this case you would have difficulties in demounting the wings and putting them in the luggage van of a mid-sized car(the wings came with their own bags).

As soon as these extenders have been made, please post photo's of them in
use. I would like to see how they look and see them in use. I hope they are
made in such a way that that DONT look like mere add ons.
