No Sporty Spice amongst that quartet methinks. And, remarkably, Ginger is the slim one! (all things are relative)

Are they Phantom sailors?

Well ... Few good points ... But why take my fireball that fills up and takes 20 mins to drain .. when we can take the spice, have fun with the nice assymetric, and have a giggle in a quickly draining boat.

I don't usully get the chance to crew any boats anywhere ... So even just crewing for a friend and going for a blast is a  rare oportunity.

As to getting a cherub ... Yeh. Snappy-Snappy. The spice is already owned and here, We have sailed it a few times  .... It does what it needs to perfectly.

(Edit - Unless, of course, someone wants to lend us a Cherub for the day ..... )

I love it when you can blag 2 weeks off work, and the club is covered for those 2 weeks for Instructors / Assistants! Saaaaaailing time!

Boats are definitley least usefull when in bits in the garage.

However i am not so lucky, as i still need to be put the deck back on and varnish, then re-rig the merlin. So it will be at least a fortnight till I can sail, due to breaking the solo aswell, which I am not sure is fixable!

Oh well, will have to steal the girlfriends laser on friday if the weather is up to it, she is at work and I am not! brilliant!

Clap Go for it!

A couple of weeks ago, I stole Contender443's Contender on a Wednesday evening before he had time to come back from work. The official excuse was that he'd nicked my tiller extension to take it as a spare to the Worlds and hadn't put it back in my boat. But, to be honest, his boat's 11 years old, mine's 38, his boat's got Progrip and carbon in all the right places Tongue AND he's got a new wow wow Mylar sail that feels so responsive in light winds!

Apparently, he walked into the clubhouse while staring at the sea, muttering under his breath: "She's taken my boat... Why has she taken my boat?... But.. she's taken my boat..."

The fact that I also had our 5-year-old daughter on board didn't seem to matter as much  although he's seen me sail before!
