My glove strategy these days (and I have cold hands and have tried many types) is to use Marigold gloves in winter, with Meraklon (polypropylene) liner gloves if it's really cold.  'Sailing' winter gloves just seem to make my hands colder - at least my hands warm up rapidly when I've ripped  the sailing gloves off in agony upon coming ashore.

There are different types of 'Marigold' - I tend to end up with the yellow kitchen gloves, but I keep trying to track down the somewhat heavier duty black variety (in my size) in the local shops, as the drawback of kitchen gloves is that you quickly discover another justification for the name 'split ring'.

The other seasons I'm in long fingered Gill Championship gloves - like just about everyone else I know these days.  Reasonably warm in spring/autumn, too.

Hi

This is not so much choosing a boat but I have just gone threw yet another pair of gloves. I did not know where to put this question but does any one know of a good pair of gloves that aren't two bulky but yet warm at the same time, it would be a pair to last threw winter to next summer if possible.     I had a pair of gill three season gloves and liked them but also would anyone recommend them again?

Thanks Isaac
