Just the one plus then - well I can think of at least two good reasons to sail down south, so we win!

The Midges are trained only to attack the sassanachs !!!!

Having lived and sailed all of my 42 years up here, we do get midges, but the plus point far outweigh the hassle.

I blame the wives.

When a sailor drags his/her other half to an event, the non-sailors are going to give their blessing based on whether the location will give a good week's holiday.

Devon good, Scotland bad. That's what my wife says anyway! Shame, as I'd like to go to Scotland one day, even without a boat....
