Marlin is 13' (3.99m) long. The SailFish in my 1973 book is 12' (3.66m) long. Beam: 5'2", 90sq ft sail. Both Marlin and Sailfish were in those days available from HHMarine, Horndean, Hampshire. However, the pictures of the sail symbols I have neither exactly matches the one you have - although they are both very similar. |

Hi all, Many thanks for your help so far. I checked out both "Marlin" and "Sailfish" but they appear to be much larger. The Sailfish has a cabin!. The boat is located in Mudeford, Christchurch, UK. here is another pic. |

If its a Marlin, then: Length: 13' 1". Beam: 5'6" Mast: 21'. Sail area: 104 sqft (racing) or 85 (cruising). Spinnaker: 85 sq ft. Weight: 215 lbs. Designed by Ian Proctor. Yardstick in those days (1973) was 97, when the Enterprise was 98. |
