My Nuvi has a divert button! Havn't had to use it in anger yet though.

The TomTom we used at the weekend (Traffic updates still sent us through trafalgar sq, past buckingham palace and kensington, and through hyde park ... ) was quite good .. Updated regularly, pointed out traffic etc (As if we couldnt see it .. )

LOTS of police flying around that night though ...

I got a RAC one & a garmin nuvi & prefer the the RAC unit from curry`s,but i have never had a sat nav that has a detour button so when you get diverted you will be as losed as everybody else,A map is usually better for the main bulk of the trip with the nav being useful for camera`s & the last 3 miles

I have the Tom Tom one (V2 I think) got it about 3 years ago before moving over to London.

Not let me down but has taken me "odd" routes. I have to admit, I haven't updated it. Last time I tried, it would back up but not update.

When you get one, keep it up to date, otherwise it can be a pain at times.
