Maybe spray everywhere isn't what they were after... I am biased because they are old friends, but I do like the 29er one: its an unusual angle and the boat's being sailed nicely, making the whole trapeze/performance boat bit look nice and accessible instead of wild and impossible. Edited by JimC |

Meh. Does the phrase "Best from a bad bunch" come to mind? 2 photos of boats not moving .. or hardly moving ... (How exciting, a tack.) 1 where you can't even SEE the boat (Hello, Boat show calling ... ) And one of a Laser .. I'll leave it at that. *Shrugs* My entries were better. Naturally not biased, of course!  (RS200s / Lasers / Toppers, sharp as you could ever want, spray eeeeverywhere .. Brilliant days sailing!!) |

Hey yes that's me and Mrs P in the 29er! Maybe not the greatest pic ever ( but you have to be in it to win it - maybe you'll all enter great pics for next year's competition ). Impressive trapezing on that angled bit tho. I'm always saying "get forward a bit" in light winds anyway, and it's done to perfection here. A nice relaxed sailing pic that makes it look deceptively like anyone could do it - sort of achievable fun for a noobie. |

it might be true most of the comments are meant to be a joke but some mono sailors do have strong anti cat views, not really sure why. i have sailed cats and dinghys and tend to sail what the best sailors at my club sail. i might not win but at least i race against the better sailors. the point i was trying (badly) to make is that with the olympic thing etc, cat sailors cant be bothered anymore they will continue to enjoy their sport and if others dont like it tough. prehaps not a good attitude i know but what else can you do |

You and others may think it's a joke but I suspect that most Cat sailors don't agree, particularly now that partisan decisions seem to be being made at Olympic level. .........anyway jokes are supposed to make people laugh
Back to topic......... I think the Laser pic is the best of the three. |

Er ninety nine point nine nine nine per cent of the time, it's a joke. When I windsurf, Kitesurfers are t**sers, when I'm kitesurfing Windsurfers are a pain in the neck, when I'm in the dinghy windsurfers on the start line should be shot! It doesn't mean anything ffs they're all folk enjoying the water and very often switch sports, don't take that sort of banter seriously. Except of course GP14 and Cherub Sailors, they're always t**sers.. And Cat sailors could all benefit by zyclon b in the showers. |
