Is Reading (J 12 on the M4, close to A34 for North / south access) Midlands enough?

If so, Burghfield Sailing Club can probably fit you in: If the canteen is not open, there is a good food pub 1/2 mile away. Of course, if the canteen is open, then you are likely to be distrurbed by hordes of Oppies and their parents!

JImC-I like it!

Pubs and village halls sound great until you need a specific contact. Thanks for suggestions though.

Motorway Services... the parking time limit keeps you to a reasonable length meeting!

Has anyone got any suggestions for a venue for class committee meetings in the midlands area? Saturday afternoon in winter normally-oh, and a pub nearby to have lunch in? Minimal cost preferred.
