Hi Ian, yeah I was thinking about coming down for the wilsonians grand prix as its the weekend after my exams have finished, dunno if it will be in the buzz or contender. Will have to check with the crew.

And also thinking about doing FED week as that looks pretty good.

North West Norfolk Week. Different venue most days, different sailing. Class sailing for N12, Ents, Lasers. Some very early starts though - great fun.
Like some other things - sailing is more enjoyable when you do it with someone else

I can put a good word in for FED Week. Sadly won't be there this year but I will be greatly missing it. I've done the last 3 and enjoyed every minute of it!

Hi JP

How about a trip over to Kent. Hannah and I don’t have our Buzz any more but there are quite a few on the river for you to race against... and we have three of the rivers best events coming up.

July 1st - The Willsonians Grand prix
Some great courses that make full use of the river (we have a huge expanse of water to play with when the tides right up.

July 8th - Medway Marathon
26 miles down the river and back. An adventure if nothing else but a challenging tactical race if you’re serious

July 14th/15th - Medway Dinghy Regatta
As its name suggests and always really well attended.

The best bit is that you could sign up for them all and leave your boat at the club making it all easier.

It always amazes me that we get loads of visitors to the Medway for the Hoo freezer, which is a great event; however less so for the three events above which offer some of the most interesting and rewarding sailing that you could ever hope for.

If you mainly do lake sailing its also an easy way into real water sailing, I.e. its salty and tidal but with out the big waves :-)

Email me offline if you want to know more

Bit of a drive, but the Thanet Regatta is 30 June 1 July, this year hosted my Margate Yacht Club.

This event was designed to get the three Thanet clubs together, Margate, Minnis Bay and Broadstairs, but sailors from other clubs are very much welcome.

Full details and NOR will be added to www.margateyachtclub.org shortly.
