Interesting that they claim that the sail (big jib) provides lift, which I guess must be correct to some extent.

Also, the boat will carry one or two people, max weight 130kg.

The 23 sq m gennaker on a carbon pole sounds adequate, to say the least!

Here's some kind of spec sheet for the Radius 4.6...

http://www.radiusholland.nl/water/RDEmonomaran48.pdf

...but it's all in foreign, maybe skslr will understand.  It looks longer and heavier than the MPS but with more sail area.

My guess is not as well, but hope you soon find out and tell us!

It definitely has been the Radius 4.8. Thank you all for the info!

Unfortunately it was gone this week-end so I cannot provide any further pictures.

I imagine it works OK once you've sheeted in fully on the beat, but is probably a bit odd off the wind.

The elvstrom trapez was a 'normal' dinghy

but the Radius is what I was thinking of.... and I'm sure it was about in the 70's.

Sorry, it had no twin mast, in fact the mast was bent forward (so the other way as you usually do on Skiffs) although I am not sure if it was intended like this by the designer Smile

The mast is standing pretty upright and way higher compared to the hull length.

The jib was some yellow 'see trough' Mylar whatever...

And it has racks that look like the strange things they use on Hobie Tigers.

like this?

a big jib and a twin mast

I think Paul Elstrom did a 'Trapez' dinghy something like this in the 60's, ( but better ).
Only one trapeze wire, you just stay hooked on and go behind the mast.
