its impossible to tell really at the moment, just look at the debate going on about the the new womens high performance class and the 470 is still a ok olympic class

yeah the website said 110 - 145kg which is pretty light.

They're a nice enough boat, not that special, but quite OK. A bit of a downside is that the combination of the interior engineering and the rig tension the top folk use means that they go a bit soft rather quickly. But that also means there are probably well sorted ex Olympians boats going cheap that would be fine for club handicap racing. You can never tell, but I reckon they'll be in the Olympics for a few years yet. Not many people sail them in the UK, the Fireball got the numbers instead. I forget the size of crew, but you can't be very big.

I havent often seen these boats mentioned on the forum, all i know is they're in the olympics and basically big 420s. Does anyone know if they'll stay in the olympics for much longer or will they be dropped? What sort of age and weight do you need to be to sail them? They do look great boats! Also the second hand market, i never see any for sale!

Your info would be great!
