You need to break the whole system down into three. From the boom working downwards you have 2:1, 2:1, 4:1 (count the number of ropes moving across each section of the purchase system) which you then multiply together to get 2*2*4 = 16:1.

I've got the same sort of system on my 400, with a take up under the thwart.

I've used bunge instead of rope holding the ring incase that black grap rail gets pulled off if you havn't cleated it (well to give some give)

Edit - Sorry tried to post to see if I could do it, and I could. You have to use the Upload button (next the the A) to get it to work.

Myself and Turnturtle thought that this could be of some use to anyone else doing a continous kicker system, so have posted it for anyones use. I can't seem to get the images to show so have put in links instead.

The rope I've bought is Marlow Excel Racing 4mm. It's pretty thin on the hands but the reduced friction means that it's the best to use. Just make sure you do a good splice and bury the ends of the outer properly or it'll ride up and feel like you are pulling on sponge - not that I did this the first time at all…… Oh, and I think the right length of rope is 9m, but that's for a 200 obviously!

Taking the single block off the top piece where the black rope goes through, and changing to a double

Through bullseye

At the sides - note that for some reason blocks are not class legal. I have no idea why blocks aren’t and rings are, but there you go……
