Mine are home-made - bit of hosepipe with thin string running through it, tied round the wing, and then wrapped round with a bit of tape to make it stand up.

If I fall off, the string will break rather than my ankle, which is always preferable...

Well they arent that good for windsurfing but... the only thing with windsurf straps is when we have em on a boards we have them very large so we can bail out. They wont break that is the main problem with sailing, if your wire snaps or the rig collapses or you go in to windward in some strange way you could easily break your ankle/s. - just watch the first awesome aussie skiffs dvd - rig snaps boat stays upright, everyone flass back off of rack, helm left hangin by his foot!

Have you looked at Wavelength? You can get all sizes in a pretty array of interesting colours. And you'd be buying from a Contender sailor, what more to ask ?

Yeh i tried tire innertube, but its pretty weak, however if you find a dual core innertube or something of higher strength, for example downhill racing innertube then it should be good enough. id recommend using plastic plates/strips to go arcoss the rubber to fix it to the boat, screw either end down = looks pretty good and strong!

check out higher and faster! I got the idea from the 49er, they actually explain it on there.

its could also be 'goodbye' but I didnt let that stop me....

When I bought the cherub my aunt mentioned that it would probibly help with my intended university course (naval architecture/marine engineering)
What I didnt realise was that she was obviously under the impression I was hoping to study gynecology
