Just googled vimto, still made, Leicestershire and Yorkshire, 1908 started out as medicine called vim tonic.

I don't see Mackeson around any more, it was brewed in Hythe, they knocked the building down years ago, nice flats and car park now like just about everything else of interest down here.

Vimto's about isn't it a kids cola drink from before cola was a thing even? Like that 'Bing' which came from the Silver Spring factory, another flattened bit of land awaiting development. Not far from the old Dormobile works, another story of opportunity lost.

For those with sheltered childhoods, snakebite is half lager, half cider. Drink it quick before weird stuff settles.

Never tried it, snakebite, have seen signs in some pubs stating its banned.

Guinness and blackcurrant was a thing when I were a lad.... Bizarre.... If you don't like Guinness then drink summit else FFS....

Vimto or Mackeson? Neither for me, thanks! Reminds me of someone who used to drink Guinness and orange juice, except there at least the component parts are drinkable, even if the mix is vile.
