Hi, I used to own 6188. I bought it from someone on the south coast in 1998 and sold it to someone in Wales (or the Midlands) in 2001. Great boat, took it to Carnac twice and down to Devon for the summers. Most of the time it was at Grafham, or on the (really rusty) trailer. The hulls were original when I sold it with no repairs; in fact it was in pretty good condition then. It's a Worlds 1994 model. Hope you're having fun with it. I now live in Michigan on the Great lakes and still dream of getting another catamaran - but my friend has a Hobie so at least I can go out. Cheers,

You can see my Jeep's No. in my name ther, it was built just around 1959/1960... its been kept in excellent condition, and it still gives the new fglass hulls a run for their muller  Its antique look make ya feel better about cruising around in it.. where'd i put those sandwiches?

Was it George W Bush who said the French don't have a word for déjà vu?

Sounds like déjà vu, as they say in English... Was there someone else on the forum with a Gauteron 4.45 some time ago? I remember offering translation skills... but I can't find deals, better stick with Guitoune!

Yes it's a french boat !!! Gauteron is the builder but doesn't exists anymore. I suppose Boatique still distributing parts. There are many of them in France. It's one of the first planning an self draining hull but unfortunately bad upwind.

One of her weakness are the false floor which squezzes at the mast foot (like B14).

If you are looking after some parts, e-mail me, I can sort out the deals for you.
