Personally, I find the two most surprising elements of this story in the Daily Fail are that a) it contains no reference at all to Princess Diana, and b) it lays none of the blame at the feet of the last Labour gov't.

depends how you view it... if you're paying for private healthcare and education, you could say it's already charity (with a profit margin for their shareholders!) as for a private army, they're not as expensive as you might think... good rates coming to a city near you (when we withdraw from Iraq & Afghanistan)
