Decided I want/need a top to go under my aquafleece for those grey windy days when I'm likely to get wet - especially as I've now learnt that a rash vest makes you cooler and not warmer!

Although they seem a bit pricey (it's sailing innit!) would anybody like to give a verdict on the Zhik Hydrophobic Fleece?  Any other options that are pretty thin, warm and maybe could be used as a top layer on nice days?

Interesting.... will bear that in mind, but the Zhik one is the same price so it will come down to performance.

Boys, go buy a surf brand polypro, save yourself a bunch of cash and get equal performance.

We sell a very good quality Polypro, seem to remember it being around 30-40 quid there are other brands less than that.

Its been mentioned on here before about the price of the Zhik kit, i guess the actual lack of proper reply reviewing the kit speaks volumes (or lack of) about the sales.  I have two items of Zhik kit, a trapeze harness, i bought because it was super comfy and a Cap i wear sailing because i won it.  I would love some of their other stuff, but i am not prepared through the nose for it.

So unfortunately Ted i have nothing to add, however i use a Gul thermo rash vest through the winter (Under my wetsuit and aqua fleece) its the muts nuts!

Decathlon polypro tops c. £13. Excellent warmth through wicking. I bought one as a cheap experiment and the difference in comfort over a rashie was extraordinary.

Or Matalan ffs

No, let me guess, the colour matches your GP14.

Not being a logo-whore, squad wannabe or faded windsurfing notable I am perfectly comfortable using stuff that works at a price which doesn't reflect the amount spent on sponsoring half the world. Wink
