Good work guys...
It's going to be a gripping medal race as virtually anyone could win it or lose it..if they do win it then whose going to volunteer to lift their boat out of the water with them in it when they return to the dock!! |

That only works if the series #1 has enough points cushion not to be threatened by #3 which isn't the case here. |

Ok then I've had to get a pen and paper out for this IF Swe finish 7 or better they are assured of at least a silver if GBR finish 6 or better they are assured of at least a silver BRA must finish 3 or better for any chance of gold 4 or better for silver. for every place below 1st then SWE and GBR can add one place to above scores. If SWE and GBR finish 7 and 6 or better respectively then who ever comes in ahead wins Gold. for every place that BRA are behind 1 obviously add 1. so for example if GBR finish first BRA can't win gold (goes to GBRas Ahead of SWE) but if BRA were second then SWE would need to be 8 or better for silver! Confused.....I can't wait to see the commentators trying to describe this. Oh and I have paid no attention to the boats who may be able to screw the BRA over.

My comments still stand; If I was SWE I would be sticking like glue to GBR, but keeping a close eye on where BRA are. IF BRA are down the pan, then SWE atacks GBR, if not then SWE needs to sail fast; IF GBR get away then SWE may have problems if BRA are in "Contention". I think it depends on the wind. If its light and fluky, SWE will stay closeish to GBR, but not bang a corner if GBR choose to; IF BRA sail a blinder and disappear then SWE might go back to bury GBR. Will be interesting to watch. I agree there is no clear cut plan for SWE unless they just go for speed. GBR (IMO) will just try and sail away and keep clean.
IF there is some wind, it could get very interesting!!!! |
