So what's the favoured snack for the between races pitstop on the water?  At the moment I go for a frusli bar, a banana and possibly a chocolate bar (to make me feel better about how rubbish I'm doing), as well as either water or an isotonic sports drink like isostar.

Any other suggestions/favourites?
the same, but different...

Large donor with chilly sauce and a 1664.

Who you callin' "FAT BOY"!

OR (and yes I actually have done this once) burger & chips and 4 pints of spitfire...

Now I can just sit back and wait for the tirade of "how irrisponsible that is" to start

Would they contain a certain amount of fine grade potato starch, by any chance?

We take loads on the water with us, a few pasties, mars bars, i like those cereal bars and about 2 litres of squash. we just stick it in the dry bag and throw it in the safety boats. only once has the greedy sod in the rib actually eaten anything! we also take some sweets in our pockets, they are good on that last beat where you need just that little bit more energy

Very responsible of you. If you're going to go out lashed, it should always be on a good quality ale, not some chemical lager rubbish.

Mars bar, bananas and water.  All taped to the boat somewhere.  Quickly learnt that stuffing the food in the 200's halyard is bad, especially after a capsize and you see your food sinking to the dark depths.  Helm aka my brother who probably could eat a whole horse and complain he's still hungry, moans, the poor boy hasn't eaten in 2 hours.
