***political bit***
Rupert Murdoch, owner of Sky, may well be the anti-christ.

For broadband I'm with Be. They're ace.

For sky+ type stuff, get a Freeview PVR. Not as many channels as Sky maybe, but enough.

It works well for me. £16 per month for good speed broadband and Sky+ package.

There are £50 cash back offers on at the moment. PM me for the intro if none of your family circle have the link (It's worth askeng them as it's £50 each for new user and introducer)

I don't watch telly but the rest of the family love Sky+. We are in a blackspot for Freeview but now we apparently have 100+ channels of what I can only presume is pure drivel.

I was concerned from switching from PlusNet - who had a good reputation and I had been with for years-  to Sky broadband (ex EasyNet?) but it went better that I could have expected.

I set the Sky router up myself as I want to use my settings rather than Skys. I have had no problems at all in 6+ months. The router has been excellent - is on all the time - 4 wired, 4+ wireless attached to it - not a problem - which is more than I can say for my old Linksys router.

That having been said we don't use Sky for our email preferring to use the excellent service from 1&1 - keeping our email independant of our ISP.

No problem recommending it even less so for the £50 for referrals!

Correct about Murdoch though......

Sky+ is great and if you have an HD TV, get a Sky+HD box, as they currently have the most HD channels available.

We have Sky+ and Sky broadband and landline, all works out to be much cheaper than the BT/wanadoo mix up we had before. The net works fine and we've had no trouble with it in over a year. However we have had 3 Sky+ boxes all of which have been incredibly temperamental, quite often none of the buttons on the box or the remote will work which, as much as i love Top gear repeats on Dave, you can only take so much of Jeremy Clarkson.

Box aside, the Sky+ is awesome and well worth getting, being able to rewind telly is a novelty that doesn't wear off quickly. The Sky anytime feature is also very good, I'm not sure if you get that with the regular box though.
