I've now narrowed the list down to 2 boats i like the sound of. I've sailed a 300 before but not a blaze. Vortex asymmetric 1173 is now up for sale (bargain price... £2300ono if anyone wants it) so now trying to decide what to get.

So whats best? Blaze or RS300? you tell me!

theres a thousand threads on this but imo rs300 is a faster more responsive and harder boat to sail.

We have been here around 2 years ago...

Have a read:

My choice was obvious (given my sig) but I would still love a go in a 300 at some point, just need time and opportunity (and a new back).

The blaze is a good boat but the 300 is on another level.  Amazingly cool machine, respect if you get one!

the 300 for me has taught me loads since owning it. my boat handling has improved so much.

ive got the big rig for the 300 and weight 10 stone so im a gd few stone too light for it, however the sail can be depowered extremely well so i don't struggle very much

nope, but it does help if i bung is fully in while training had a cup full of water in then.. however it might need sending off for repairs AGAIN... unless i can do it

*cough*

Cup?

Few pints more like! and I took the bung out just before you put it on the road base, and it was fully in before that.

Well my helm, used to own that boat last year, he sold it to a boat trader (i'll leavehis name out), It had a crack just below the lower rudder pintle, the faster you went tohe more pressure on the rudder which opened it up further  Charlie was still very quick in it but it shipped a fair bit of water on board
