I think the idea is that eventually there will be an upgrade package available.  Of course it wont be class legal to race with. It will set you back somewhere in the region of £1500 (dont quote me on that price though) and you'll have to do some serious modding to the boat.  Overall, however much I love 600s and would love foiling ones even more, i cant help but think that money would be better spent on just getting a moth if foiling is what you want.

that is true, but it would be very interesting to see, and even more so to have a go. im guessing that a foiling 600 would be able to acheive some preety impressive speeds

well it might be better spent on a moth if you are REALY light but if you are what is recomended weight for the 600 perhaps this will be more worth while.

600 732, will call it Sticks and Stones when i get round to it.
Also International 14, 1318

why REALLY light??  I stand to be corrected but i think sam pascoe is around the mid 70s in Kg and he's holding the moth speed record.
Although in the size relation of moth sailors in comparison to 600 sailors, you would be quite right in that the 600 has a much higher weight tolerance due to the size of the mainsail.  But note at the same time that the 600 is far heavier than a moth and combine that with heavier person at the helm.....it could still prove beneficial to be a relatively lighter weight sailor to get the boat foiling well in a broader range of conditions.

Wow, I was chuffed with meeself just for helming off the wire with the boat IN the water.

That thing must be seriously wobbly - or do the foils act as stabilisers? (I'm guessing a big NOT).

How fast does it go when it's not foiling?  Foils = lift = drag.
