I have not sailed dinghies for the last 30 years and have two dodgy knees so I need a stable dinghy, but I want to go fast.

I have seen pictures of a Hydrofoil Moth, which seems to fill my needs; it has those comfy seats on the sides, and looks really stable.

The only problem I can see, is how to get on it. It does look very high out of the water. We have got a pontoon at Emsworth Sailing Club, but I still think that I would have to stand on a box to get on.

Do you have any tips?

It is the helium they pump into the hulls which keep them in the air, so possibly you could climb on board, get yourself settled and comfy, and then pump the boat up to flying levels...Good name, by the way!

Those are challenger trimarans, very stable, but only used for the disabled sailors.

I worry that that might have been a serious comment....

have you seen the multicoloured one, it is called a waverider (or wind rider can't remember) that one is fast, my dad is disabled and belongs to the clads club (whereas i belong to the main club) so i get a free ride every now and again
