Happy New Year

So what are you looking ahead to in your sailing world?

Which events (for participation or as a fan)?

Boat upgrades?

New boats (to you or to market)?

Happy new year to you, too!

Plans... Hoping to go to Belgium for the Minisail Championships in July, and booked to do the CVRDA 20th National Rally at Roadford in August.

Plans to kick start Sailability participation in Wednesday night racing at Whitefriars. Means I might be spending more time sailing a Hansa 303 this year than I might have planned otherwise!

Minim the Minisail currently being upgraded in terms of finish and fittings to make her stronger and faster. New centreboard still to me made. After that, Saskia the Firefly will need work to see her to her 60th birthday party at Roadford in August.

Plans afoot to celebrate Whitefriars 50th year, too. Big event is a weekend of sailing and parties in June.

Work wise, Sailability has 12 Thursday dates each side of the summer holidays to join Wednesdays, which will keep me occupied, but if anyone needs an itinerant SI/PBI at any point, let me know!

Hi Mozzy
On the Thursday before Christmas I had delivery of a new Phantom Hull ready for me to fit out with a few ideas I have been thinking about. I have also been ordering and collecting the various components to complete the job.
So New Year is fit out time and then a few opens (Bowmoor, POSH Weymouth Regatta) and then the Nationals at my club Lee on Solent SC in September.

No events external to my immediate vicinity planned, a 6.5 hour trip up to a kitesurf demo at Rhyll put paid to any further thoughts I might have of 'enjoying' further un necessary road trips, especially with a trailer as it is I'm dreading having to go back up to Hull to pick up my boat after it's refurb.

Have probably mentioned already that I've gone for a full carbon redeck and some other Tweaks and I'm looking forward to continuing my s/h trapezing learning curve on the Farr3.7, although I'm also faced with the necessity to go back to spending a bit more time learning to foil on a kite and windsurfer now I'm selling the damn things. But hey, who knows, maybe these wind and kite surf foils can be pressed into service with something heavier, they have some incredible foils that you can just pump onto the plane with Surfboards and Seasweepers, so you never know, lots to be excited about and look forward to.

Losing the Nationals didn't smart at all then?

You need a nice Green one with a plank thing on it, I know where you could get one very reasonably...

Happy New Year

Too right it did! I broke me, too, but it's easier to get the boat fit than it is me!

Used to own a Sprint, but I think I'll stick to the Sprite. Than you for the offer, though. I can always make some wings or a seat if I feel the need. Keeping the weight down is the issue, though, for the boat, and me!
