Quest One, the former Kenwood Cup winner, has recently undergone modifications to convert the Nelson Marek 43 back to its original configuration in time for this year's Forrester Properties Sydney - Mooloolaba Race, starting April
7.

Owner Richard Hudson and partner competed in last weekend's Palm Beach Offshore Series, the final race of the
Combined Clubs Pointscore and the first regatta since modifications were completed. He finished the two Saturday
races first overall in IRC Division 1 and was delighted with this result.

'By taking the bumps off the aft section, adding 300 kilos of lead to the keel and fitting a bigger mainsail, we have
stiffened the boat up considerably and returned it to its original performance,' said Hudson today.

Hudson will race north to Mooloolaba under IRC handicap, with a crew of largely Pittwater-based sailors. This will be
his 16th Mooloolaba Race, with a number of handicap wins recorded in the late 1980s onboard his previously owned
yachts Beach Inspector, Public Nuisance and Pemberton III.

'We will be looking for a good handicap result. It's about time we lifted our game again,' Hudson said.

Quest One raced in last year's Sydney - Mooloolaba and Sydney - Gold Coast Race under IMS handicap but this
year Hudson will join the increasingly popular IRC ranks for the 470 nautical mile race north to Queensland's
Sunshine Coast.

Second overall in IRC Division 1 of the Palm Beach Offshore Series on the weekend went to Stephen Ainsworth's
beautiful Swan 48 Loki, another starter for the race north in April.

So far, the CYCA has received a handful of entries for the Forrester Properties Sydney - Mooloolaba Race in
Association with Maroochy Shire Council and Events Sunshine Coast.

The Club expects up to 50 yachts will compete in this race, the final race of the Club's Bluewater Championship.
Entries close on March 23 and the Notice of Race is now available from the Sailing Office or online at
www.cyca.com.au
