CYCA's Short Ocean Pointscore pointer for norther races.

by News Editor on 26 Feb 2001
CYCA Short Ocean Pointscore is approaching the business end of the season.

This series together with the Blue Water series provides a useful form guide for the Northern circuit.

Phil Eiszele and Jamie McPhail are holding the lead in the IMS Division with their Sydney 40 Davnet from Howard & Susan Piggott's True North and Karl Stechmmann's Blue Chip.

Nips n Tux won again on Saturday but will finish the season out of the money.

Kevan Pearces Ausmaid has dropped from contention with their entry in the Port Lincoln race. Ragamuffin raced on Saturday as she prepares for the Mooloolaba race, but only managed an IMS fifth.

In IMS 2 Commodore Hans Sommer won on Saturday from the season leader Ed Psaltis aboard his mighty Hick 35 AFR Midnight Rambler but it does appear that Psaltis has a lock on this division.

In IRC 1 Julian Farren Price's Cookson 12 is the consistent performer this season, although beaten into fourth place this weekend behind the casual entry Shockwave, Nips n Tux and the Swan 48 Loki.

In IRC 2 the Taylor's Pippin has the lead over AFR Midnight Rambler with Phil Mellors Jacobina running third.

Scoring in the PHS system gives the Div 1 lead to About Time, then Davnet, with True North third.

In PHS Div 2, Don Young and his NSX 38 crew has performed steadily to lead from AFR Midnight Rambler and Pippin.
