EXCESS MAKES A STRONG DEBUT IN SINGAPORE
|
|
According to our dealer in Singapore, Pro Sail Asia:
"In our 40 years of operation, we have rarely seen a response to a new brand quite like the one we are experiencing with Excess. What is driving this wave of enthusiasm? Excess catamarans are built by sailors, for sailors. Groupe Beneteau started with a blank sheet of paper to create a catamaran that truly delivers under sail.
Driven by 'The Tribe': a young, passionate, and energetic team behind the brand.
A proven track record: more than 500 orders secured in just six years!"
Since 2025, Pro Sail Asia has been the official Excess dealer in Singapore. In just one short year, the team has successfully delivered two Excess 14s through the European Delivery program in France, with a third unit currently being commissioned in Indonesia.
The team also played a key role in hosting the Asia-Pacific debut of the Excess 13 during the Singapore Yachting Festival 2026.
Congratulations to our newest members of the Excess Tribe, and a big thank you to Pro Sail Asia for their outstanding work!
We look forward to seeing an ever-growing number of Excess catamarans sailing across the region as our APAC dealer network continues to expand.

HOW EXCESS IS MAKING WAVES ACROSS ASIA-PACIFIC
|
|
|
Looking back to 2020, the first Excess catamaran in the Asia-Pacific region, an Excess 12, arrived in Australia and made its regional debut during the Excess Tour in Sydney in mid-October, where it received a warm welcome. Shortly after, an Excess 15 owned by a New Zealand sailor took part in the world-renowned Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) 2020.
A few months later, in February 2021, the first Excess 11 in the Asia-Pacific region arrived in Japan. As a newcomer in the highly competitive global multihull market, the Excess 11 quickly established itself as a standout model. In 2024, the shipyard celebrated a major milestone, with more than 200 Excess 11 units built worldwide since the model's debut at boot Düsseldorf in January 2020.
The Excess 11 is the only large-scale production catamaran in its size category on the market. Designed for both long-distance cruising and comfortable life on board, this 37-foot sailing catamaran offers an exceptional balance of space, comfort, and sailing performance.
The model continues to evolve. It is now available in a Hybrid version, allowing for quieter and more sustainable cruising. Unveiled at the International Multihull Show 2026, the Excess 11 Riders' Edition transforms the catamaran into the ultimate base camp for outdoor adventure enthusiasts.

In June 2024, the first Excess 14 in our region arrived in Tahiti after an impressive 12,000-nautical-mile journey. Since its launch, the Excess 14 has quickly established itself as one of the most appealing models in the cruising catamaran market, winning the hearts of families and couples alike.
In 2025, Excess celebrated the launch of the 100th hull of the Excess 14.
The Excess 14 is a lightweight cruising catamaran that perfectly combines exhilarating sailing performance with generous living space. Sailors particularly appreciate its twin aft helm stations, which provide direct steering sensations and excellent sail visibility.
Designed with comfort and versatility in mind, the Excess 14 offers a spacious and enjoyable onboard living experience, making it an ideal choice for both owners and guests.

|
Launched at the International Multihull Show 2025, the Excess 13 has enjoyed remarkable success, both through its strong sales performance and multiple prestigious awards.
The Excess 13 continues to ride a wave of success worldwide, having won numerous international awards, including European Yacht of the Year 2026, Multihull of the Year 2025, and the Best Sailing Catamaran Award 2026 in Singapore.
It has received an exceptionally warm welcome from the global sailing community and has made highly successful debuts in the Asia-Pacific region and Australia.
With its sleek design, aft helm stations for intuitive steering, lively central cockpit, and bright living spaces, everything has been designed to deliver direct sensations and true agility under sail, while catering to today's hybrid lifestyle at sea.

The growing presence and influence of the Excess brand in Asia-Pacific is largely attributed to the strong support of our local dealer network, as well as Excess' practical and effective regional strategy. To date, Excess has established 10 strong partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region.
With the Cannes Yachting Festival approaching and kicking off the new boating season, it is an ideal opportunity to explore the whole range at Cannes. And if you think Cannes is too far away, this November, the entire Excess fleet will be showcased in Thailand, organized by our dealer Primus Marine. Stay tuned for more updates!

JOIN US FOR THE "BLUE WATER EVENING" IN CANNES!
|
|
At this year's Cannes Yachting Festival, Excess will host a Blue Water Evening featuring two Excess 13 owners, Bryan and Jen, who spent several years travelling in a van before setting a course for the open ocean. They will share their experiences of life on board, their newfound freedom, and their next challenge: crossing the Atlantic.
Bryan and Jen's Excess 13 was delivered by our dealer in French Polynesia, Sail Tahiti, on a voyage from France to Gibraltar. The yacht was sailed by its founder, David Allouch, who has extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in bluewater cruising. During the delivery, the Excess 13 encountered challenging weather and sea conditions, proving itself to be a true bluewater cruiser.
If you are planning to visit Cannes this year and dream of crossing oceans, we invite you to visit the Excess stand and join us for this inspiring event.

DISCOVER THE MAGIC OF TAHITI ON A CHARTER HOLIDAY
|
|
Many people know the name Tahiti from the famous line, "It's a magical place," associated with Agent Coulson's implanted memories. The French post-impressionist painter Paul Gauguin also left Europe in search of what he believed to be a lost paradise in the Pacific. As the largest island in French Polynesia, Tahiti is a dream destination and a cruising adventure there features on many travelers' bucket lists.
As a matter of fact, Excess 14 owners Jean-Pierre and Béatrice were captivated by the beauty of Polynesia during a cruise aboard the Paul Gauguin and decided to return to further explore the South Pacific islands on their own Excess 14.
If Tahiti and its surrounding islands are on your travel wish list, we highly recommend contacting our dealer in French Polynesia, Sail Tahiti, a passionate advocate for sailing in the South Pacific. The team has developed a range of bluewater cruising itineraries combining discovery, adventure, excitement, and unique cultural experiences.
Our acclaimed Excess 11 and Excess 14 are both available in Sail Tahiti's charter fleet. The Excess 11 is a fun and capable cruising catamaran, designed to take you to some of the world's most remote destinations, from secluded coves and deserted beaches to secret surf spots. The Excess 14 combines sailing sensations, comfort, and versatile living spaces. For adventures to the remote atolls of Polynesia, it also offers generous storage capacity for extended cruising.
