Howth Yacht Club is delighted to announce the return of the much-anticipated Lambay Races, taking place on Saturday 30th May. A standout fixture in the club's racing calendar, this iconic event draws sailors from across the region for a thrilling day of competition and camaraderie.

Featuring a spectacular single race around Lambay Island, the event is open to cruisers, one designs, and sports boats, offering a unique challenge in one of Ireland's most scenic sailing areas. Competitors can expect top-class racing on the water, combined with top class hospitality and entertainment ashore.

First sailed in 1898, the Lambay Races are among the longest-running sailing events on Dublin and form an important part of Ireland's rich maritime heritage. The original race was established when Henry Stokes presented a trophy for a race around the 17-mile course from Howth northward around Lambay Island and back, passing to the west of Ireland's Eye. Over more than a century, the race has evolved alongside advances in boat design while retaining its core spirit of competition, local knowledge, and seamanship.

Early bird entry fees are available until 3rd May, with final entries closing on 22nd May. Participants are encouraged to secure their place early and be part of one of the highlights of the Dublin sailing season.
