2012 Olympic Gold Medalist Iain Jensen (AUS) has joined America's Cup Defender, Emirates Team New Zealand.

Jensen is currently sailing in SailGP as the Wing Trimmer for the Australian team, the Bonds Flying Roos, winners of three SailGP Grand Finals. He suffered a knee injury in the Oracle Perth SailGP event during training ahead of the regatta.

He crewed for current Emirates Team NZ skipper and helmsman, Nathan Outteridge (AUS) in the 2012 Olympic Regatta in Weymouth, in the 49er skiff class. They worked as training partners for the New Zealand crew of Pete Burling and Blair Tuke, who won the Silver medal in the Two man Skiff event in Weymouth. The medals were reversed in the 2016 Olympics in the same class at Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

Jensen has been sailing with the New Zealand team this week in AC40s.
