Miami, Florida will host the inaugural VX One World Championship next year, marking a major milestone for the international VX One class. The world title event will take place from 29 March to 3 April, bringing together top VX One sailors from around the globe for a week of high-level, one-design racing.

Set against the iconic backdrop of Biscayne Bay, the championship is expected to deliver classic Miami conditions. The venue offers reliable spring weather, warm water and a proven track record for hosting world class sailing events.

The VX One World Championship will be supported by a full schedule of lead up regattas, including major Miami events immediately prior, such as the Bacardi Cup, giving competitors ample opportunity to train, race and tune up ahead of the world title.

To support international participation, event organisers are working with private sponsors on a proposed freight subsidy, significantly reducing barriers for overseas teams. A range of charter boats will also be available, with both used and new options offered to competitors.

Following the recent recognition of the VX One as an international class, the swift announcement of a world championship represents a significant step in the continued global growth of the fleet.

With strong international interest already building, the VX One World Championship is set to become a standout fixture on the global calendar.

Further details including entry information, official notices and partner announcements will be released in the coming months.

Save the Date: 29 March to 3 April 2027, Miami, Florida.
