The International Melges 24 Class Association (IM24CA), in conjunction with the U.S. and Canadian Melges 24 Class Associations, has issued the official Notice of Series (NoS) for the 2026 North American Sailing Series, formally confirming the events included in the Series and outlining key updates to the overall championship structure.

As previously announced, the 2026 North American Sailing Series will feature 11 qualifying events spanning North America, offering exceptional racing opportunities for both professional and Corinthian Melges 24 teams. The Series is designed to showcase the full breadth of the Class, providing meaningful competition at the local, regional, national, and international levels, and welcoming teams from across the globe to participate.

The most significant distinction between the 2025 and 2026 North American Sailing Series is a refined scoring model adopted by U.S. and Canadian Class leadership after careful review. For 2026, teams will still be scored on their best four event results, and regional racing series events will carry increased weight in the overall standings, reinforcing their importance within the broader Series framework.

These adjustments were implemented with clear objectives: to encourage greater participation across the fleet, increase competitiveness between teams, provide more value and equally weight the regional series within the NASS to further elevate the value of winning the overall title. By placing more emphasis on regional racing, the revised format rewards consistency and performance while remaining accessible to teams balancing demanding schedules and travel commitments.

This structure reinforces the Class's commitment to accessibility, competitive depth, and high-quality race management, while ensuring that every event meaningfully contributes to a season-long championship worthy of the North American Sailing Series title.
