On the 15th of September, twelve sailors, including two visitors, took part in London Corinthian Sailing Club's Laser Open, which is part of the Thames Valley Series.

Conditions were good, with more wind than forecast and clear skies this allowed for competitive racing amongst the fleet on the Hammersmith section of the Thames. ILCA 7s and 6s competed together but the results are separated for the series.

The first race saw a snapped mast for Shaan on the first beat, and a lot of confusion amongst the fleet about where the first mark was and which way to round it. There were position changes amongst the entire fleet on the penultimate leg of the second and third races but Val was victorious with three wins despite a capsize in the third race.

This is the final event in the Thames Valley Series for 2024 and we hope to see more people on the water next year.
