Rooster are proud to unveil its latest breakthrough: the SB1 Inshore Jacket and Hi-fits. Engineered specifically for active sportsboat sailors and racers, the range has been developed through fit and functionality to provide unparalleled performance, comfort, and freedom of movement on the water.

The introduction of the SB1 Inshore range marks a natural evolution for Rooster, as the brand extends its presence into the growing sportsboat market while leveraging from its established reputation for innovative performance gear in the dinghy sector. Developed alongside Rooster ambassadors and riders, the SB1 Inshore Jacket and Hi-fits combine performance with style, using sustainable fabrics and constructions to reflect the brand's dedication to both the sport and the environment. The range sets apart from Rooster's previous offerings, marking a significant advancement in performance apparel for the brand.

"At Rooster, we're always looking for ways to innovate and evolve to better serve our customers," said Luke Morrison, CEO at Rooster. "The SB1 range is a testament to our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of sailors. By combining advanced fabric technology with ergonomic design, we've created gear that allows sailors to push their limits and perform at their best."

The key to the SB1 range lies in its innovative fabric technology, combined with its inclusive fit and feature-rich construction. The Jacket and Hi-fits incorporate 85% recycled content throughout in both their fabrics and trims. They utilise a lightweight 3-layer laminate fabric consisting of a 100% recycled polyester shell with a TPU membrane, along with a polyester microlayer on the inside, with a PFC-free DWR treatment at the outer surface. This fabric is designed to provide stretch, ensuring maximum performance without compromising comfort. The streamlined design of the products are available in two colourways, a light ice colour, and a darker teal/navy blue to cater to different tastes. The design has been kept minimalist but focusing on key features throughout.

Some key features, but not limited to include:

  • Cordura® N66 500 denier reinforcements on key panels (ankles, seat, knees, elbows, jacket hem) for enhanced durability
  • Fully taped seams throughout for complete waterproofing
  • Reflective yet subtle accents for increased visibility and safety - in the adjustment cords, hood piping and key prints throughout.
  • Multiple pockets for convenient storage
  • Stretch breathable panel on the back of the hi-fits for maximum comfort.
  • Diagonal adjustment at the leg cuffs for an enhanced ankle seal
  • Multiple adjustment points for an inclusive fit
The SB1 inshore jacket and hi-fits have been deliberately developed in a unisex fit and tested on both men and women alike of different shapes and sizes to provide a shape that best suits to maximum body shape and sizes. More can be read about this decision on the Rooster Blog.

Rooster's aim with the SB1 range is not only to support existing customers transitioning into sportsboat racing but also to attract new enthusiasts to the brand. Through inspiring people to embrace sailing, Rooster continues its legacy of fostering a passion for the water and its elements.

The SB1 Inshore Jacket and Hi-fits are now available for purchase online at www.roostersailing.com/collections/sb1-range and through select retailers.
