It was another beautiful day on Sydney Harbour as the qualifying stage of the John Messenger Women's Match Racing Regatta concluded. Over the past two days each team has completed 16 races, with pre-regatta favourites and top seed Juliet Costanzo leading the way.

The young female team from the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club had a carbon copy of yesterday in results, to clear well ahead of the remaining teams. Conditions on the Harbour were very similar to yesterday, with a slightly softer westerly breeze enabling racing to continue without a hitch.

Ranging from 6 - 14 knots, the fleet today had to contend with a busy harbour full of Saturday racers. Juliet Costanzo now heads into the semi-finals as top seed on 12 - 4. Chelsea Williams has risen to second position, again tied with Brooke Wilson (RSYS) on 9 - 7. Both these teams were tied after Day 1, with Wilson winning the tie break, however today Williams gains the upper advantage heading into Stage 2.

The final semi-final spot belongs to Charlotte Griffin, sailing close behind on 8 - 8. Brooke Adamson from Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron had a better day on the water winning two races, however will bow of out the competition, finishing in fifth place.

"We really loved coming over to Sydney this weekend for the John Messenger Regatta. We've had perfect conditions and it was great to get some racing in against new competitors for us." Adamson commented after racing at the CYCA.

Tomorrow will see Juliet Costanzo up against Charlotte Griffin in the first to three point semi-final. This leaves Chelsea Williams and Brooke Wilson to battle it out in the other semi-final which sure will be a tough fight.

Tomorrow's forecast sees more sunshine, however a drop in breeze and a change to the east meaning racing could be delayed around midday.
