The Freestyle Pro Tour regrets to inform the windsurfing community that two of our nearest events are cancelled for this season.

Alacati in Turkey and the Engadinwind in Silvaplana, Switzerland, will not host a freestyle windsurfing competition in 2022. As is apparent in the entire windsurfing scene, event organisers are still struggling to make a comeback after the pandemic. Read on to find out the details of these unfortunate cancellations below.

EFPT Alacati in Turkey

What was possibly one of our most anticipated events of 2022 amongst the riders, is cancelled due to a myriad of circumstances. The unfavourably altering exchange rate as well as rising covid-19 cases in the country are at the main drivers, forcing the organisers to call off the event.

EFPT Engadinwind

After many discussions with the Engadinwind organisers, the Foilstyle and Tow-in events will not go ahead for 2022. The Freestyle Pro Tour hopes to come back to this amazing location in 2023 to showcase the best that Freestyle Windsurfing has on offer in the beautiful Swiss lake Silvaplana.

All other events on the calendar look good and we are excited to welcome you to our next tour stop in Theologos, Greece, happening 7-11th of September.
