The International Musto Skiff Class Association is pleased to confirm that the class has accepted an invitation to participate in the prestigious Princess Sofía Regatta 2022 in Palma, Mallorca, with a four-day event scheduled over 31st March to 3rd April.

The Princess Sofía Regatta premiered in 1968 and has since been held annually in the Bay of Palma de Mallorca, except for 2020 due to the pandemic. The international sailing regatta is well known for attracting the best crews of the Olympic sailing classes, as well as some of the best non-professional sailors from several of the worlds most established classes.

This year marks the 51st edition of the Princess Sofía Regatta, which will be taking place at Club Nàutic s'Arenal (CNA) in Palma, Mallorca. The venue is already familiar to the Musto Skiff class, having been the host for the well-attended ACO 8th Musto Skiff World Championships in 2017.

The regatta will be an ideal opportunity for the class to come together for some long-awaited competitive racing in preparation for the ACO 11th Musto Skiff World Championships 2022, which is scheduled for late June in Kiel, Germany.

As part of this year's Princess Sofía Regatta, the racing format for the Musto Skiff class will consist of 12 races over the four days (31st March to 3rd April 2022), with the Musto Skiff's confirmed to launch off the beach.

The Musto Skiff class Notice of Race (NOR) is currently being finalised, but an early entry fee of 200 EUR has now been confirmed. The standard entry fee will be 250 EUR.

Registration via online check in is set to open in February 2022. Competitors can find the online entry page. The Musto Skiff class will be added to the online entry form as soon as the NOR is published.

The regatta organisers have also arranged ferry discounts for regatta competitors travelling to Palma by ferry. Competitors can check ticket prices and book the ferry via a form included on the event website here.
