On the 21st, the organizing committee of the Yisunsin Cup International Yacht Race successfully completed the 15th Admiral Yisunsin Cup International Yacht Race, which was held for five days.

In order to prevent Covid, 37 yachts and 292 athletes from 11 countries, including South Korea, the United States, and Russia, participated in the race.

In order to prevent the spread of Covid, instead of hosting no audience in this race without additional events, the event was broadcast on Live Online so that all people can watch the lively yacht races at sea in real time.

There were three divisions participating, international cruiser 1 Group(ORC1), 2 Group(ORC2), 3 Group(J/24), divided into three courses. The event was held in the coast of the island of Tongyong city which was placed in "Naval Battle of Han-san" and Bijin Island, the Hakikjin course that went between Hansan Island and Sojido Island, and around the Yisunsin course navigating around Bijin Island and Ohgok Island.

A total of 15 teams from first to fifth place in each group won the award, depending on the results of the third-day race from November 19 to 21.

The Yisunshin Cup, the overall winner of the tournament, was won by the Korea's Vikira team (skipper Kim Tae-jung) of the ORCI (cruiser) race, while the SOUTHERN BREEZE II (skipper Kim Mi-so) team won the J/24 (sports) race, lastly Byeokrando (skipper Byun Woo-seop) team won the championship. Vikira team, which won the overall title, is the national team of Gyeong-gi Province, and has been the hero of the Yi Sunsin Cup for five consecutive years until this year.

Noh Sung-jin, chairman of the organizing committee (Chairman of the Gyeongnam Sailing Federation), said, "We are grateful that we successfully completed the yacht race by focusing on Covid quarantine and safety despite difficult conditions. We will continue to prepare well for the event so that the International yacht race for Admiral Yi Sunsin can become a world-class yacht race."
