Jim Cooney's Comanche took Line Honours this morning in Hobart, but not before the Derwent River reminded them how small the margin can be between winning or losing that prize.
Barely 4 kms from the finish line and having powered up the Derwent River from the Iron Pot, the breeze panned out completely.
Going nowhere for 5-10 minutes the Comanche crew watched as InfoTrack appeared on the horizon entering the Derwent River.
Fate turned to Comanche's fortune and the NW breeze eventually filled in and carried her to the line.
Here are some of Bow Caddy Media's images of the finish and dockside celebrations.
