What they said:
John Gimson (36, Congleton, Cheshire), Nacra 17
"Quite a stressful day with three wacky light races but we managed to just about keep all the scores inside the top 10 with a couple of big comebacks, which I think will be important heading in to gold fleet - it only gets harder from here. Nice to finish the day with a second in the final race, which made the long postponement for it worthwhile. I've no idea how we are doing, I don't follow the results during the regatta as no-one is really winning until the end, but so far so good in terms of how we are sailing."
Dylan Fletcher (31, Thames Ditton, Surrey), 49er
"We have had a tough start out here in Auckland but have dug our way through to be in the mix. We can't wait to get into finals racing tomorrow and be back with a bang. There's plenty of racing left and now it's the real game with the top 25 boats."
