Third day of competition, decisive in the qualification of the Gold fleets that will compete for the European Title until next Saturday.

The wind returned to make matters better for the organization, and once again, the planned regatta schedule was fulfilled in full, with the addition of two more regattas.

Under excellent conditions, the 323 sailors divided by the categories Laser Standard, Laser Radial Feminine and Laser Radial Masculine, fought for a place in the Gold fleet, the one that will allow them to fight for the podium, next Saturday.

In the Laser Standard category, Australia's Tom Burton, a gold medalist at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, took the lead in the overall standings, with British Lorenzo Brando Chiavarini in second place, being the best European sailor.

In the Women's Laser Radial category, Anne-Marie Rindom of Denmark maintained the leadership of the overall standings, with Mafalda Pires de Lima being the best Portuguese in 62nd place. Unfortunately, she was eliminated from the group that will fight for the medals.

In the Laser Radial Open category, Italian Andrea Crisi is the new leader.

Tomorrow, Thursday, two more regattas are planned, starting at 1 PM, on the Atlantic front of the beaches of Matosinhos, Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia.
