Around 200 sailing boats of all sizes will fill Victoria Harbour early morning Sunday 18 November in what is known as Hong Kong's biggest annual celebration of sail. Despite still suffering from the effects of Typhoon Mangkhut that swept through Hong Kong recently; this is a fantastic turnout.
With such a vast racing fleet, two start lines will be laid immediately in front of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club's Kellett Island Clubhouse in Causeway Bay featuring over 20 separate starts for the various classes of boats.
The race course is a circumnavigation clockwise around Hong Kong Island – a distance roughly 26nm. If the breeze is sufficient, boats will finish back where they started, at RHKYC's Kellett Island clubhouse, however if winds are light, the Race Officer may decide to finish the fleet at Green Island, Cyberport or Stanley.
