Tricky final Lymington XOD Wednesday race of 2018

A light and variable, mainly Northerly breeze and a strong spring ebb tide made for difficult conditions for both RO John Whyte and the 13 boats out on a warm sunny afternoon.
A short three round course was set with Lucrezia Ado Jardine taking the start near the up tide ODM and at the first mark Lucrezia led closely followed by XL Rory Paton and Madcap Chris Torrens. On the second round Madcap the oldest commissioned boat in the fleet, first launched in 1911 took over the lead for the remainder of the race, whilst Ibex Paul Woodman came through to finish second.
