After the success of Blue Wonderful with Sir Elton John in 2016, then Duran Duran's Extraordinay World concert last year, the Ferretti Group in collaboration with the Yacht Club de Monaco and Maserati repeated the experience on Friday 7th September 2018 with an exclusive concert by Sting.

Called 'Fields of Gold' in a reference to one of his greatest hits, the show reflects the Ferretti Group's image and ability to design out-of-the-ordinary yachts.

Fields of Gold, a very private concert by Sting, was held in the YCM Marina where 26 Ferretti Group yachts were anchored for the occasion. On a stage erected on the water, facing the Yacht Club de Monaco, the British star performed mega hits from his extraordinary career as a solo artist, including Fields of Gold and Fragile, as well as classics from the repertoire of his old group, The Police, such as Roxanne.

After 90 minutes on stage, it was only natural for the internationally renowned artist to leave the stage by boat to applause from the 1,000 guests, almost drowned out by all the yachts in the YCM Marina blowing their horns.

"Sting is an eclectic, sophisticated artist who has been wracking up hits for over 40 years, by performing them in his own inimitable musical style," commented Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi. "In the light of the profound esteem and admiration that I have for this unique artist, I am proud to have Sting as the star of our annual rendezvous in Monte-Carlo. The musician has done us a great honour with this intimate and moving concert, a unique performance reserved for our owners and members of the Yacht Club de Monaco."

"In keeping with our mission as a focus for activity in the harbour and our Monaco, Capital of Yachting project, we are delighted to kick-off the autumn season on the Côte d'Azur, just days before the Cannes Yachting Festival (11-16 September) and the Monaco Yacht Show (26-29 September)," said Bernard d'Alessandri, General Secretary of the Yacht Club de Monaco. "It is a great pleasure for us to welcome an artist like Sting, both for his musical talent and commitment to protecting the environment, a value so dear to Yacht Club de Monaco and the Principality. His outstanding performance tonight proved again that we are all mad about... him."
