Live GPS tracking at the North Sails/Gul/Allen Enterprise Nationals

by Alice Allen 2 Aug 11:04 BST 28 July - 3 August 2018

With a potential three races planned, there will be plenty to watch online thanks to SailRacer's live tracking at the North Sails, Allen Sailing and Gul Enterprise National Championship taking place at Exmouth.

This is the first time the fleet has used the SailRacer tracking system and its proved incredibly popular with the fleet and its supporters, with over 5,000 views already.

Each boat carries a compact tracker which is strapped securely to the king post, providing real time feedback throughout the race. After the race, the tracking is shown on a screen in the club with fleet experts Martin Honnor and Tim Sadler talking through their tactics and explaining their game plan and decisions during the race.

So if you're unlucky enough not to be at the champs, spend today watching the racing from the comfort of your office and make sure you're signed up to be in the champs next year, taking place at the awesome Mounts Bay. Follow the racing here.
