No racing possible this weekend at Bembridge Sailing Club

After weeks of light & fickle breezes, the weekend of the Bembridge Harbour Family Weekend which included the Bembridge Village Regatta on Saturday, was sadly hit by nearly gale force winds which meant that racing on both days was cancelled.

Just not fair, especially for six One-Design crews who had gone up to Cowes last week for Cowes Classics Week and had had to cope with little or no wind at times. However, congratulations to Russ Fowler in No 1 who, after seven races, was first overall with 9 points; Martin Bonham in No 2 was second with 13 points and Hugh Doherty in No 10 was third with 16 points.

Daily racing starts tomorrow (weather permitting!) and finishes after the races on Bank Holiday Monday (27th August).
