Racing at the J/70 European Championships is due to start today 12 June 1200 local time (+2 UTC).
69 teams from 17 different countries, including the current World and European Champions, and a highly competitive fleet from the world of sailing will be taking part. Conditions for the first day are expected to be a shifting northerly breeze of about 15 knots that may pipe up later in the day.
